Where does the opportunity for cost saving lies much in the entire steelmaking process ? We believe that the area of cost efficiency is in the upstream of steelmaking process or hot metal production because this is the lever which can be moved to reduce cost and improve production. Downstream in the steelmaking, ensuring quality of the final products is a priority and hence cost efficiency is a real challenge.
