Universal mill for Novokuznetsk - Russia's most modern rail mill

Southwest Siberian Metallurgical Plant Novokuznetsk, a company of the EVRAZ Group, modernises its production facilities for heavy sections in the city of the same name. To achieve this, the plant operator has placed an order with SMS Meer, Germany, for the supply of a new universal mill for rails and other sections. To set up Russia's most advanced rail and section mill, the production with the old equipment will only be stopped for four months. Thereafter, the steel company will be able to produce 100-m-long rails.
