Somany Ceramics in strategic acquisition

Indian tile manufacturer, Somany Ceramics, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding for the acquisition of a 26% strategic stake in Commander Vitrified Private Limited (CVPL), a Gujarat-based tile manufacturing company.The deal between the two companies pertains to the Somany Ceramics' 100% access to CVPLs production capacity of 2.65m m2 per annum of polished vitrified and glazed vitrified tiles.Abhishek Somany, JMD, Somany Ceramics, says: "This strategic investment presents a lot of opportunity for Somany in the current landscape of the Indian ceramic industry. This move is a step towards realising Somany's growth vision.
