Use of Modified Bark (Artocarpus heterophyllus) for the Removal of Cadmium From Aqueous Phase

Metals are intrinsic components of earth crust. With the rapid development, the evolutions of metal based industries, contamination of environment with heavy metals has been a matter of great concern. Among environmental pollutants, cadmium merits a special reference as a potentially toxic element (I). This leads to a potential health hazard to men and animals. Another significant effect of this pollutant is its role as etiological factor in chronic diseases like "itai-itial" and "ouch-ouch".
