The Stone Federation Great Britain recently announced the latest winners of its third annual Natural Stone Sustainability Awards at EcoBuild in April. The awards were created to highlight the sustainable qualities of natural stone, and to recognise and reward outstanding achievement, awareness and innovation in sustainability within the industry.This year, the award in the Workshops and Premises category went to Lovell Purbeck, which has heavily invested in generating its own electricity at its Downs Quarry in Purbeck and Bowdens Quarry in Somerset.
