A Mutable Flower Phenotype from Asgrow XP2214

In summer of 1990 at the Asgrow Seed Co. nursery at Ames, Iowa, Teresa Harper noticed one plant that had white, and mutable flowers in the purity grow-out of experimental line, XP2214. The normal characteristics of this line are purple flowers, tawnypubescence, buff hilum color, and brown pod walls. The plant was identified at early flowering, tagged and hand threshed.
