摘要

THE continuing strength of the housing market and other building in many parts of the Southeast has turned straw into a cash crop for a number of row-crop farmers. And the market is nowhere near oversupplied. "All I can say is I wish I had a lot morestraw than I have now," says Stanly Stewart of Catawba, N.C. "If you want to get into providing straw for the landscaping business right now, you can find a market. The demand for straw is directly related to how much building is going on, and there is plenty."
