THE PROBLEM: How can a father balance his desire to keep working with his son's need to be on his own?

My son and I have been working together as individual operators for more than 10 years. We operate our farms in a simple manner: his acres are farmed his way; mine are farmed my way. We farm similar acreages. Lately, I am seeing a change in his attitude, both at work and with his family.
