摘要

Despite being part of the baby boomer generation, Tom Baughman, who grows nearly 4,000 acres of row crops and vegetables near Napoleon, Ohio, doesn't fit the mold when it comes to technology. Instead, he thinks more like the mechanical engineer that he once was before returning to the family farm nearly 40 years ago."When I graduated from high school, I left the farm to pursue a degree in engineering at Ohio State University," says Baughman. College was followed by a job with Alcoa Aluminum. "When Icame home, one of the first things I did was put our farm accounting system on a desktop computer."
