Joint EMA, ISBS, and DR-IBS International Symposium on Biopharmaceutical Statistics: Bridging drug development from research to marketing

The Second International Symposium on Biopharmaceutical Statistics took place on March 1-3,2011, in Berlin, Germany. It was jointly organized by the European Medicines Agency (EMA), the International Society for Biopharmaceutical Statistics (ISBS), and the German Region of the International Biometric Society (DR-IBS). The symposium was held under the theme 'Bridging drug development from research to marketing', with the aim to provide an international forum for biopharmaceutical statisticians across the world to share information, experience, and research findings, and to improve and promote the harmonization of statistical practice in the industry at the international front. The symposium was preceded with six short courses conducted by prominent experts on February 27 and 28, 2011
