Jacqueline Osty

Jacqueline Osty is a landscape architect working in Paris. A graduate of the national landscape architecture school of Versailles, she founded her own office in 1983. She also teaches at the national landscape architecture school of Versailles as visiting lecturer. Known for her ability to translate landscape as structure with a strong architectural feeling, Jacqueline has worked on many urban design projects for most of France's major cities. She has developed a very contextual and sensitive approach to the site, working back and forth from a large territorial scale to the scale of small details. She pays close attention to how to create links to anchor the project in the site. Bach project is like a fine piece of weaving. In her landscape design,Jacqueline sets out clear and simple lives in contrast with a richness of textures and materials.
