With only few exceptions, ceramic components are almost always manufactured in firing units with adapted process engineering in order to obtain optimum component properties. Ceramic kiln engineering therefore plays a key role in the manufacturing chain, especially for technical ceramics. Kiln engineering is therefore in the focus of the value-added chain and must ensure the realization of the necessary high-temperature process engineering, which embraces not only temperature and atmosphere control, but in many cases the associated chemical process engineering.
