Vela Group: New Plant in San Giovanni del Dosso

This report highlights the key technological features of this new plant, an installation designed and engineered by the Piccinini Impianti-Cosmec Group to ensure wide operating flexibility and high productivity. Set up in 1961 by the Delaini family, Vela (Veneta Laterizi) has grown steadily. The company's development has been marked by various milestones, such as the start-up of the plant in San Giovanni del Dosso (Mantua) in 1976 and the acquisition of Fornaci di Borgonato in Corte Franca (Brescia) in 1981. In 1996 Vela took over T.S.T. in Bologna, then known as Fornaciai. The Group made its latest acquisition in 2005 with the takeover of Fornaci Molino in Filo di Argenta in the province of Ferrara.
