Rapid changes can be observed in the ceramics industry due to the present situation in the world economy. The main target in the last months was to overcome the economic recession and at the same time to find a way for the companies into the future. These two exercises were linked to each other, while one of them is about the crisis management and the other about the development. Different solutions were found by ceramic producers dependant on their location and/or their economic environment. All the solutions had the same driver: cost control.
