One of the most extensive paving projects in the North West Province - at the Mafikeng Industrial Development Zone (MIDZ), adjoining Mafikeng Airport - was completed and handed over at the end of last year. Strategically located close to a major rail link and with an internationally rated airport on its doorstep, the MIDZ is intended to position Mafikeng as an important regional cargo distribution and logistics hub, serving domestic and international markets and rivalling Johannesburg.
