The Whole Mosaic in the Picture: Automatic inline inspection and sorting of mosaic tiles and mosaic grids now ready for application in industrial manufacturing

The automatic visual inspection of single ceramic tiles for the detection of both aesthetic and physical defects with modern colour camera systems is now state of the art. One of the pioneers in this field is the Constance-based company Massen, which is part of the Swiss Baumer Group. Using its ColourBrain technology, Massen launched the first colour-capable tile inspection system, CeraVision, back in 1996 and has since continuously developed this technology.
