We consider a two-dimensional quasistaticproblem of the stress-strain state and dissipative heating of ahollow circular viscoelastic cylinder subjected to the action oftwo normal diametrically opposite loads moving along thesurface of the cylinder with constant angular velocity. It isassumed that the physicomechanical properties of the material areindependent of temperature. In this case, the combined problemof thermoviscoelasticity splits into two linear problems: theproblem of the stress-strain state of the cylinder without axialsymmetry and the axisymmetric problem of heat conduction withtemperature averaged over a cycle and a known heat source. Theexact solutions of these problems are obtained. The influence ofboth the coefficient of heat transfer on the inner boundary of thecylinder and the sizes of the cylinder on the temperature ofdissipative heating are investigated.
