New asparagus grading table triples processing output

There's a new work-horse on the market for asparagus growers. A new style of asparagus grading table can grade, sort and cut up to 700 pounds per hour with just 12 people. This compares to just over 200 pounds per hour with the old Delhi Foundry table, says Ed De Hooghe, a Delhi, Ontario-area asparagus grower. Paul Petker builds the grading tables from scratch at his shop in Port Rowan, Ontario. With about a half dozen sold, the table featured in this article was viewed at the Dalton White farm, located near Otterville.
