It is important to maintain the ordered surface structural inhomogeneity of construction materials [1]. We have systematically investigated the structural changes in the surface layer of steel and alloys in contact with a heating medium and conducted extensive design and development work. The results were reported in 107 papers and 17 presentations at international conferences and recognized in 23 inventor's certificates and patents.
