摘要

The introduction of nondestructive magnetic-noise monitoring of metal products significantly simplifies and hastens the monitoring and measurement of the decarburized layer in various processes and eliminates the subjective factor in evaluating the data. The use of shape-recognition algorithms based on stochastic approximation with self-training yields an information and measuring system for monitoring not only the decarburized layer but also the applied and residual stress, the chemical composition, the hardening by surface-plastic deformation, the grain size, cementation, nitriding, and the strength, as well as for sorting ferromagnetic materials by grade.
