Pipe Behavior in a Three-Roller Screw-Rolling Mill

Rolling processes for both thick- and thin-walled pipe are simulated by means of DEFORM software. The change in shape of the metal over the length of the mill is considered. Means are discussed for reducing the probability of trihedral-funnel distortion, in which the internal diameter at the far end of the hollow pipe blank is increased.
