The sintering-machine hearths in the sintering shop at OAO ArcelorMittal Krivoi Rog have been modernized, with the installation of GNP.R-250 recuperative burners (model 22) of injection and recirculation type. The radiant flame required for effective and high-quality ignition of the surface layer of sintering batch is obtained thanks to increase in the calorimetric combustion temperature of the low-calorie gaseous fuel (with the introduction of regulated physical heat) and more intense interaction of gas, air, and recirculating heat fluxes in the burner itself.
