Tests on industrially produced MgO-C specimens and products led to the conclusion that the use of Carbores P instead of powdered resin combined with liquid resin does not lead to any significant change in the technological properties and the product properties. In general, the properties are somewhat improved, which applies particularly in respect of the pore size distribution, the cold crushing strength and the characteristic fracture length after coking.
