In mid-October, the International Federation of Standards Users (IFAN) sponsored its 14th triennial International Conference in the Centre Point Tower in central London. (Editor's note: SES represents the US and Canada in IFAN) After opening remarks from IFAN President Mr. Ross Wraight, attendees were treated to thought provoking keynote addresses by Dr. Scott Steed- man from the British Standards Institution (BSI) on the Role of standards as enablers to drive governance and innovation in business and industry, and by Mr. Rob Steele, Secretary General of ISO, on International standards ensure positive change. The opening session was followed by four technical sessions with moderated panel Q&A periods.
