The burning question in the business year 2010 was how fast the white-wares industry could overcome the drastic blows it suffered in the economic crisis of 2009. "Technical ceramics is in the process of topping the pre-crisis levels, sections of the porcelain industry are still having a hard time of it though", said Rolf-Michael Muller, CFO at CeramTec GmbH, who was re-elected Chairman of the Association of German Ceramics Manufacturers (VKI) at its General Meeting on 20th May 2011 at the Porzellanikon in Selb.
