Advanced injection molding processes are well established for large scale production processes of High-quality plastic components, e. g. DVD- and BluRay-discs for data storage or micromechanical and micro-optical parts for biomedical devices and consumer-electronics. However, for the cost- and energy-efficient production of these products, new developments in machinery and process equipment are indispensable, especially temperature control systems with high dynamics [1, 2].
