Sector Focus: Processing

摘要

Shortage of inventory and developing an integrated plan to develop varieties with lower acrylamide levels are two areas of concern in the process sector as we enter 2011. Recent indicators from the process sector show a shortage of inventory and somegrowers are hearing reports that processors now are out trying to purchase open market potatoes to cover the shortage. Chip and fry demand seem to be rebounding slightly from the effects of the recession but processors are finding they don't have enoughinventory and our out trying to purchase additional spuds.
