An industry relatively unchanged in the last half-century stamping, like everything else these days, is feeling the effects of the digital revolution and now is changing at cyberspeed.Until recently, stamping was considered a craft, based more on guesswork than on science. Not so today. To keep pace with the automotive and other industries' demands for high-tech, higher-strength parts and just-in-time (JIT) turnaround, contractors are employing a more scientific approach to better predict what will happen on the shop floor.
