There's new information on zebra chip, the latest disease to cause quality and yield losses in potatoes. As disease has spread northward from Mexico, and even as far as New Zealand, researchers have been studying the disease and have identified the potato psyllid as the primary vector, although more research needs to be conducted to control the disease pressure and keep zebra chip out of unaffected areas.
