Aperam, the stainless steel manufacturer, is investing US$10 million installing a wire rod finishing line at its plant at Imphy, in central France. The investment will be used to remove the bottleneck from the process route following earlier improvements to the meltshop and aims at further improving competitiveness and increasing revenue. In 2013, Aperam posted an operating loss of US$11 million. In the same period, the group recorded total sales of US$5.12 billion.
