US House Bill 3722 was filed and sent for review to both the House Judiciary Committee and Energy and Commerce Committee in December 2013. This bill, which would extend malpractice and other legal protections to sports medicine physicians and certified athletic trainers who are traveling across state lines with their teams, was sponsored by Representative Tom Latham (R) of Iowa and co-sponsored by Representative Cedric Richmond (D) of Louisiana.
