Global teams, i.e. teams made of people working on a common project in different countries, are now an integral part of corporate life; by pooling resources and work approaches from many parts of the company and the world, the team can create incredible synergies, potentially resulting in breakthrough progress. These teams also face some unique challenges: Distances between team members slow down communication and are often an impediment to building trust within the team. In addition, many global teams need to contend with the challenges associated with cultural differences.
