A weakening global economy, overcapacity, tit-for-tat tariffs: these are just some of the woes that stainless tube and pipe makers are having to contend with at the moment. Despite this, some companies are prospering, with some seamless tube and pipe producers performing remarkably well. Many producers attempted to capture market share by means of strategic take-overs and investments, while others strove to improve their services by achieving closer co-ordination between their stockholding and manufacturing activities.
