The Asian crisis: its effects on East Asian tile and sanitary ware manufacturers

More than a year ago, the forced floating of the Thai currency, the Baht (THB), caused a chain reaction in various countries in the Far East and South East Asia, resulting in a regional currency, financial and economic crisis. In the meantime this crisis threatens to become a global one due to its repercussions on other world regions. This article gives a detailed picture of the East Asian whitewares scenery and shows the effects of this crisis affecting regional tile and sanitary waremanufacturers.
