We think Procter & Gamble's Febreze team has made several bold moves in introducing its first aerosol product,Air Effects.We also think these capture the spirit and tradition of our Innovative Products/Innovative Packaging feature,and that's why three of the new SKUs are displayed on this month's cover.The new product-Febreze's first air freshener-has six patents that cover the unique trigger sprayer,the formula and the mist.These are central to helping distinguish the new product from its competition and also make it very difficult to reproduce what P&G has done,says Ali Safavi,Assistant Brand Manager and Project Leader for Air Effects.The product also features a unique custom shroud that provides a distinct,tactile effect;the propellant is nonflammable nitrogen;and the Air Effects label gets it right:it includes information encouraging recycling of the aluminum can and also makes it clear the product contains no CFCs.
