Poland: a promising market for stainless steel

When talking about stainless steel in Poland, it should be remembered that there is almost no production of stainless steel in the country. Small quantities of flat hot rolled products from "Huta Stalowa Wola - Zak-lad Metalurgiczny" and some low nickel grades from the former "Huta War-szawa" - recently taken over from Luccini by Ar-celor. All of the local production constitutes just a couple of percent of country consumption. German company BGH has some plans to put into operation the old Baildon mill (a stainless steel bar producer).
