Educational Utilization of Standards

摘要

A programme on 'Educational Utilization of Standards' was organized at National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela on 31 October 2008.Prof S. K. Sahu, Incharge of Institute Seminar at NIT, Rourkela, welcoming everyone, gave a brief introduction about the purpose of the programme and highlighted the functions of BIS as a national standards body of India.Shri V. Ravichander, Sc. D elaborated on safety standards and their application and various Quality Control Orders pertaining to Electrical Appliances/Accessories, PDW, Cement, Steel etc, issued by Government of India during different occasions/years.
