Stainless fasteners can be used to avoid unsightly staining, streaking and instability on lumber work, for example. ordinary nails can stain wood through rusting, and this will ultimately affect the stability of the structure in question. Any surface which is to be painted will soon show the rusting nail heads, necessitating a repaint sooner rather than later.Stainless nails, on the other hand, will last as long as the lumber, and any expensive paint jobs will last as long as the paint. Therefore using stainless fasteners adds value to a projects, with the difference in cost being minimal when compared with the total cost of the structure. Stainless nails are also stronger than plain steel fasteners.
