Review Meeting of LPG Valves and Regulators Certification

An All India Review Meeting for Certification of LPG Valves and Regulators was held at Chennai on 20 November 2000 under the chairmanship of Shri V.K. Jam, Additional Director General (Marks). Over 24 representatives from industries all over the country, representatives from Public Sector Oil Companies, BIS officers from Central Marks Department and various regional and branch offices participated in the meeting. This review meeting assumed great significance due to the phenomenal growth of the concerned industry over a period of time arising due to extensive use of LPG valves along with cylinders and LPG regulators and consequential thrust on safety of common consumers.
