Flash Cooling technology for the production of high strength galvanised steels

FOR more than a decade, the demand for high strength steels (HSS) has increased mainly due to the automotive, building and pipeline markets. To meet with this demand, a wider range of HSS has progressively been developed (Fig 1). Thanks to improvements in coating process, these steels are increasingly hot dip galvanised after rolling instead of zinc coating by electro deposition.
