Wireless signal transmission for the ladle turret on continuous casters

The implementation of a wireless control system on the turret ladle exchange of a continuous caster at the Rourkela Steel Plant - to replace a slip ring and hard cabling system - has provided greater reliability, faster response times and less returned steel resulting in a saving of around US$400k a year due to improved productivity.
