Danieli Centro Tube to supply 400kt/y seamless pipe plant to Saudi Arabia

The Industrialisation & Energy Services Company (TAQA), through its subsidiary company, Jubail Energy Services Company (JESCO), has awarded Danieli an order for a new 400kt/y seamless pipe plant, to be supplied on a complete turnkey basis, for installation at Al Jubail in Saudi Arabia. Plant startup and commercial production is scheduled for the end of year 2008. This new plant in Al-Jubail will produce tubes for the oil industry, meeting international standard specifications, and will consist oft a hot rolling line for production of tubes in the range of 139-365mm outside diameter, complete with inline tube straightening, NDT, and cut-to-length facilities; a tube heat treatment line; a tube finishing line for casing, tubing and line pipe; a coupling workshop; auxiliary plants including water treatment plant, compressed airplant, laboratories and workshops, overhead travelling cranes and hoists; eiectricals and automation system for the whole plant.
