Textiles are the indispensable part of human life. Textiles are mainly used to cover the human body for protection from wind, rain, heat, etc. Textiles are used from kitchen to automobiles and occupy majority of human household articles. Increased usage of textiles coupled with human recklessness towards its use has posed threats to his life when fire romances with fabric. Burning of wearable and other household textile articles due to their affinity towards fire are main reason for most of fire related deaths. Understanding of fibre characteristics towards fire requires taking many precautions and protections in textiles.
