The State Level Committee Meeting on Standardization and Quality Assurance was held on 19 January 2005 under the chairmanship of Shri Sutheertha Bhattacharya, Commissioner of Industries, Government of Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad. This was the first meeting of the committee which was reconstituted in 2004. It was decided that the meetings will take place more frequently, preferably once in six months so that this mechanism of giving fillip to small scale industry and units making quality goods get due support.
