BOKARO Steel Plant is one of the premier integrated steel plans of the Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL). The plant is located in the eastern part of the country in the state of Jharkhand. BSL mainly produces hot and cold rolled coils/and sheet in a wide range of steel grades including special steels. The cold rolling mill (CRM) at Bokaro uses state-of-the-art technology to produce high quality sheet gauge material and galvanised products. The CRM products are extensively used for deep drawing purposes, automobile bodies, steel furniture, drums/barrels, railway coaches, other bending and shaping jobs and coated steels etc. Cold reduction of hot rolled (HR) coils is accomplished through one of two 5 - stand tandem mills, which are capable of rolling sheet gauges down to 0.15mm.
