International standard set for EDI

摘要

Standards set in the European motor industry for electronic communications and logistics have proved so effective that they are being used in other industry sectors. The global steel industry is the latest sector to adopt Odette International's standards.Odette International is a not-for-prof-it organisation created by key decision-makers in the European automotive industry to standardise a range of electronic communications processes and logistics systems to aid efficiency across the sector. Its members are the trade associations that represent more than 4000 companies active in producing motor vehicles and their components, together with the services that support them, throughout the European motor industry.
