Avoid tire slippage on rims

I have to agree with Larry N.Loftin, owner/president of Big O Tires (in Roswell, N.M.), who wrote in the Your Turn column in the August MTD about the issue of wheels slipping in the tire. He said, "Some of today's high-tech mounting lubes and pastes are slow drying and will allow the wheel to spin in the tire when applied to the bead face if the vehicle is driven before the lube fully dries."
