On October 25, 2008, the New Mexico Building Branch, Associated General Contractors, will mark its 60th anniversary of service to the New Mexico building profession. The chapter saw its beginning in 1948 during the post-World War II construction boom, when Sandia and Los Alamos National Laboratories and the state's military bases were undergoing large expansions. AGC members played a large role in these expansions.
