Add the right investment group, a first-rate engineering team and a mill with great potential—and the dream became a reality. The investment group is Freestone Sawmill Partners, LP, located in Houston, Tex. Wilson and former Louisiana-Pacific (LP) co-worker, Art Dawson, teamed up with Freestone in early 2002, seeking mills that needed additional capital.
