Kansas-Based Private Company To Buy Georgia-Pacific Corn

Koch Forest Products, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Koch Industries, Inc., has commenced a cash tender offer for all outstanding shares of Georgia-Pacific Corp. at 48 dollar per share. Koch Industries, based in Wichita, Kan., is acquiring Atlanta-based G-P for 13.2 billion dollar in cash and will assume 7,8 billion dollar of G-P debt, Koch Industries, Inc. owns a diverse group of companies engaged in trading, operations and investments worldwide, including a presence in 50 countries in such core industries as trading, petroleum, chemicals, energy, fibers, fertilizers, pulp and paper, ranching, securities and finance.
